Hi Lindsay
Once again very interesting. Up here in the Northern Hemisphere there is still quite some interest in buying gold in the form of coins of the realm like Brittanias. These are free of VAT and any profit on their sale also avoids Capital Gains Tax . There are quite attractive to behold and furthermore most sovereigns gain some numismatic value over time. You may find Gold prices rise even further.
With regard to the World Cup some of us are finding it hard to hear ourselves think about the vevuzelas!
Best wishes
Richard
UK emergency budget in two weeks’ time will not mean a quiet summer for us
