Manufacturing figures a big surprise: Economists

The March manufacturing output figures were “very surprising and shocking,” said Efficient Group economist Freddy Mitchell on Wednesday.
Manufacturing production rose by a strong 6.3% in March from 2.7% in February. Market consensus had been 3.1%. It has now been in positive territory for over three months.
