Abu Dhabi bails out Dubai with $10 billion

Dubai has received $10 billion from its neighbour Abu Dhabi to help Dubai World, the ailing state-owned conglomerate, repay a $4.1 billion Islamic debt which matures today.

Stocks AM: $10bn Dubai bailout sparks positive JSE

Johannesburg, Dec 14 (I-Net Bridge)   The JSE opened firmly in the black on Monday after Dubai confirmed it had received a $10 billion bailout from oil-rich emirate Abu Dhabi.
At 09:15 the JSE all share index was up by 0.74%, with resources up 1.11%, gold stocks up by 0.27% and platinum counters improving 0.76%.

Altech Netstar announces R1.5bn BEE deal

Johannesburg, Dec 14 (I-Net Bridge)   Technology group Altech (ALT) on Monday announced that a black economic empowerment (BEE) transaction valued at 1.5 billion rand.
The transaction involves the transfer 25% + 1 share in Altech’s wholly owned subsidiaries Altech Netstar and Altech Netstar Fleet Solutions.
