Paracon FY HEPS at 17 cents vs 19 cents

South African ICT resource provider Paracon (PCN) on Monday reported an 11% decrease in headline earnings per share and basic earnings per share to 17 cents for the year ended September 30, from 19 cents earlier.

Lonmin FY sales 682,955oz, 2% below target

Lonmin (LON), the world’s third-largest platinum producer, on Monday reported platinum sales of 682,955 ounces for the year to end September 2009.

JSE sees firm open on metals,world mkts

South African stocks saw a firmer opening on Monday morning on the back of firmer global markets, supported by resource and precious metal counters.
At 09:20 the JSE all share index had gained 1.16%, with resources up 1.99%, platinum producers strengthening 1.91% and gold miners firming 2.60%.
